At Poplar Bluff Trailer, our 1% Military, Veteran, and First Responder discount isn't a sales gimmick. It is a genuine token of gratitude for the men and women who put their lives on the line for our country and communities.
Because we hold this service in the highest regard, we strictly require government-issued credential verification (Active Military ID, Veteran ID Card, DD-214 with state ID, or Department First Responder credentials) prior to applying any discount to an invoice.
We have zero tolerance for stolen valor or false claims of emergency service. Misrepresenting military service or emergency responder status disrespects those who have sacrificed, bled, and given their lives in uniform. We will not compromise the integrity of this program. If valid identification cannot be produced, the discount will not be applied. No exceptions.

When you purchase a trailer in Missouri and tow it across state lines, law enforcement agencies require a valid temporary license plate tag to legally operate the trailer on public roads before you finalize tax payments and plates in your home state. In addition, all lending institutions require an active temporary registration tag to fund and close any financed trailer purchase.
Can I combine my veteran discount with the repeat buyer discount?
Yes. Poplar Bluff Trailer allows eligible customers to stack discounts on any standard inventory trailer. If you are a returning customer and provide military or first responder verification, our sales desk will apply both incentives to your purchase.
Why is there a surcharge on credit cards, and how can I avoid it?
To keep our trailer prices competitively low, we do not build credit card processing fees into our trailer prices. Card brands charge 2.99% to 3.5%, which is passed through directly. You can avoid all processing surcharges entirely by paying via cash, ACH electronic check, or a certified bank check ($0 fee), or by choosing a flat $10 bank wire.
What is a GVWR de-rate ($75)?
Many commercial haulers or hotshot drivers need their trailer's Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) officially rated below 26,000 lbs combined to remain compliant under non-CDL driver restrictions. If you need custom manufacturer documentation or weight plate adjustments, our team handles this administrative processing for a $75 fee.
