These truck beds have a full perimeter of siding and a tailgate that folds down for effortless cargo loading and unloading. These truck beds can be further divided into sizes. Compact trucks will use a short truck bed, which is more square than other types. Your standard truck will use a mid-range bed, with long truck beds being found on larger pickup models.

Flatbed

While most pickups use the same type of bed, other types of trucks tend to have a bit more variety when it comes to truck beds. Drop-side truck beds are very similar to standard truck beds with the caveat that all sidewalls can fold down rather than just the tailgate.
